THE AFRICAN SUPER LEAGUE: MONEY TALKS

While Europe's Super League collapsed under fan protest, Africa's version is quietly changing the game.
The Shift: CAF's "African Football League" (AFL) is expanding. The goal is simple: Keep African talent in Africa longer by paying competitive wages. The prize money is dwarfing national leagues, creating a new tier of "Super Clubs" on the continent (Al Ahly, Sundowns, TP Mazembe). THE GHANA ANGLE: ORPHANS AT THE TABLE
Where are the Ghanaian clubs? Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are currently watching from the sidelines. Our local league's lack of structure and commercial viability means we are missing out on the biggest financial injection in African football history.
We need to corporatize our clubs. The "Community Club" model is romantic, but it doesn't pay $10,000 monthly salaries. If we don't modernize, our league will become a feeder system for Tanzania and Egypt.
